The Bees Knees: Your Beekeeping Journey

Backyard Beekeeping Ballarat is a family-owned business located in the heart of Ballarat and Victoria’s Goldfields. Amanda Collins and Scott Denno have been beekeeping for ten years and established their boutique business, Backyard Beekeeping Ballarat in 2017 after several years of tending their beehives at their property near Buninyong.

The couple oversee around 80 honeybee hives which are situated in secluded spaces across the city and in Central and Western Victoria. These sites provide a diverse and rich supply of nectar and pollen sources for their bees. Amanda and Scott teach beekeeping during Spring and Summer and run honey tasting and beeswax candle making workshops during Autumn and Winter. Their signature beekeeping experience ‘Secret Life of Bees: Open Hive Experience’ is an immersive event held during Spring and Summer for bee and honey lovers alike.’

Amanda and Scott will be presenting at the Ballarat Begonia Festival on all thing’s beekeeping.
