Snail Trail Competition Terms and Conditions

Begonia Festival Snail Trail Competition – Begonia Festival 2026 

For your chance to win a regional getaway, visit  www.ballaratbegoniafestival.com or use the QR code displayed at each sculpture at Begonia Festival 2026 Art Trail location. 

To enter, participants must locate 10 different snail sculptures and correctly name each snail at each location. 

Clues of the locations of the Snail sculptures at Begonia Festival 2026 can be found at www.ballaratbegoniafestival.com or via QR at each location. 

Participants who correctly name all 10 snails on at the correct location will be entered into a random draw. 

Competition terms and conditions: 

1. The Begonia Festival – Snail Trail competition is conducted by the City of Ballarat (ABN: 37 601 599 422). 

2. Entering is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 

3. Promotion commences 10:00am, Saturday 7th March 2026 and ends 5pm, Monday 9th March 2026. AEDST. 

4. Entry into the promotion is open to all residents of Australia. 

5. Entrants under 18 years of age must have parent/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardians must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. 

6. City of Ballarat employees and Ballarat City Councillors, and their immediate family are not eligible to win this promotion. 

7. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be rejected and any late, incomplete, indecipherable or illegible Entries will be deemed invalid. Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the City of Ballarat and not at the time of transmission. 

8. Entries that are offensive or deemed inappropriate by the City of Ballarat will not be considered. 

9. Entrants are allowed to submit more than one entry. Entrants will only be able to win once, regardless of how many Entries are submitted. 

10. Prizes will be allocated in the order in which they are drawn – first random entrant to be drawn awarded first prize, second random entrant to be awarded second prize, and third random entrant to be awarded third prize: 

First Place:  

• Accommodation: Two nights’ stay at Mooramong Tiny House via a "Into the Wild - Gift Voucher (Valued $750) 

• Dining: $200 voucher at a local Ballarat restaurant of their choice. 

• Experiences: Family Day pass to Sovereign Hill (Valued $150) 

• Midwest Regions - Gift Hamper (Valued $150) 

Second Place: 

• Yearly Family Pass to Sovereign Hill (Valued $300) 

• Art Supplies Gift Pack (Valued $150) 

Third Place: 

• Family Day Pass to Sovereign Hill (Valued $150) 

• Art Supplies Gift Pack (Valued $150) 

11. In the instance that the winner drawn is under the age of 18, the prize will be awarded to the Parent/Guardian. 

12. The prize is non-transferable. 

13. No part of this prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other prize. 

14. The winners will be drawn at random by the City of Ballarat on Monday 16 March 2026. 

15. The winners will be notified by phone and announced on  www.ballaratbegoniafestival.com (first initial and last name) on Friday 20^th  March 2026. 

16. The prize is to be collected by the winner from the Ballarat Information Centre at a date/time agreed to by prize winner and City of Ballarat. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being announced, the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the City of Ballarat shall be entitled to draw another winner in accordance with the process described above. 

17. City of Ballarat decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

18. Your personal information is being collected by City of Ballarat to enable identification of the winner. Your information will be stored in Council’s Database and used to identify you when communicating with Council and for the delivery of services and information. Your personal details will be added to the City of Ballarat email database for the purpose of contact for future promotions and marketing information. For further information on how your personal information is handled, refer to Council’s Privacy Policy at www.ballarat.vic.gov.au.
