Ballarat Begonia Festival

The Ballarat Begonia Festival will make a flourishing return this year over the Labour Day long weekend.

The three-day event will take place in the iconic Ballarat Botanical Gardens, celebrating the city’s rich horticulture heritage. This years Festival has an incredible line up of family friendly activities, Garden displays and entertainment, starting with the Begonia Stage hosted by Chloe Thomson, presenting an impressive celebrity lineup, including:

Costa Georgiadis – landscape architect, environmental educator, author and television presenter;

Liam Downes – Local chef and Director of Black Cat Truffles;

Millie Ross – horticulturalist, garden designer, writer and broadcaster; and

Mindy Woods – Proud Bunjalung woman, MasterChef alumni and award winning Chef

Showcasing a signature collection of rare begonias, the Conservatory display will return. Visitors can expect to see an exciting display with a romantic feel, with the City of Ballarat’s horticultural team adding lavender and greenery to the arrangement.
